The Italian program of the Department of World Languages, Literatures and Cultures presents Dante and video games at 5:00 pm, Tuesday, November 16, in the Giffels Auditorium, Old Main, Room 201. This presentation is part of a series of events celebrating the 700th anniversary of Dante’s death.

Simone bregni, Associate Professor of Italian and Chairman of the Department of Languages, Literatures and Cultures at Saint-Louis University, explore the many examples of video games and digital media inspired by Dante Divine comedy. By exploring what we can learn from the representation of Dante and his world through video games, Bregni will explore the multisensory experience of Dante’s medieval text in a virtual reality context.
